The Nutcracker Theatre Week Information 2024

Nutcracker Packing List

 

• Pointe Shoes, Ballet Flats or Shoes for Specific Roles – All the pairs you will need for the week!

 

• Tights –

  • Performance Tights (You should plan on bringing two pairs in case something happens to one of your pairs of tights).

 

• Nude Leotard (REQUIRED FOR ALL DANCERS by 12/14/2024)

 

• Makeup – Please bring your own makeup. It isn’t hygienic to share.

  • Foundation

  • Powder

  • Concealer

  • Contour (If desired)

  • Blush

  • Eye shadow (please use browns only)

  • Eyeliner

  • Fake Eyelashes (All dancers 12+ are required to wear fake eyelashes).

  • Mascara

  • Lip Liner (matches lipstick, red)

  • Red Lipstick (Red lipstick is required)

  • If you are a Reindeer, please bring your own makeup, we will help you put it on.

 

• Hair Accessories –

• Hairbrush or comb

• Hair elastic (matching your hair color)

• Bobby pins (way more than you think you will need, at least 20 per dancer. These need to be the flat pins as they work best to hold wispies and head pieces on their heads)

• Hair spray (NO WISPIES ARE PERMITTED)

• Hair gel – if your hair needs more than just hairspray.

• Hairnet – please wear a hairnet around your bun.

 

• Water Bottle (please have it labeled with your dancers name)

 

• Snack (easy to eat and clean up)

 

 

IMPORTANT REMINDERS –

1. Nails - Please no colorful nail polish. You can wear clear polish or have a French manicure. We will have nail polish remover, but make sure if you wear acrylic nails they are color free. 

2. Jewelry – VYBC Company dancers, I would love small sparkle studs. Let me know if you don’t have any or if your ears are not pierced.

3. Hair - YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BOBBY PINS!!! Please check your theatre packing list above and make sure you have everything you need. 

SIGN IN and SIGN OUT/DROP OFF and PICK UP –

 

*All dancers are required to sign in at the table inside the Artist Entrance Door. This door is located to the right of the loading dock door. Dancers 12 years and older are allowed to sign themselves in at the table. Dancers under 12 years old need a parent/guardian/carpool driver to sign them in. This is for the safety of the dancers. If a dancer is not signed in by the start of the rehearsal/performance a parent will be called. 

 

*All dancers are required to sign out at the table inside the Artist Entrance Door. Dancers 12 years old and older are allowed to sign themselves out at the table. Dancers under 12 years old need a parent/guardian/carpool driver to sign them out. This is for the safety of the dancers. If your dancer doesn't sign out within 30 minutes of the end of rehearsals or performances a parent will be called. If you are more than 15 late picking your dancer(s) up, a late pick-up fee of $50 will be charged to your account. 

 

We understand that this can be difficult with the traffic at the theatre. The safety of the dancers is our top priority. There will be 2 volunteers at both sign in and sign out to make sure the process goes smoothly. Please be patient. 

 

DECEMBER 21, 2024 – Meet and Greet with the audience  –

 

VYBC Dancers are required to stay in between the performances and attend the Meet and Greet. We will let you know by 12/16 what your assigned position will be for this event. Your positions are not negotiable .
